Preggo Week 22: It's a ....

I stocked up my bag with my favourite essential oils (Valor, Geranium, Deep Relief roll-on, and Digize), snacks (Justin's peanut butter cups - yum!), and a Starbucks coconut milk latte and then we made our way to our 22-week ultrasound!!

Given my experience last time around (read more here) I had been praying through some anxiety leading up to this appointment. Thankfully we had a sweet new friend (who gave birth to both her children in Paris) to come with us. Just having her there made the experience already feel much better than last time!

When I walked into the ultrasound room, I instantly recognized the Dr from last time ... She said, "Oh is this your first?" And I was like "No, actually last time I saw you you stripped my membranes! But it's nice to see you again." She laughed and was happy to know I went into labour the next morning! She also happened to be the Dr. that very casually and unsympathetically (as if I already knew) told me that I might need a C-Section. Thankfully she was much nicer this time around and we had a wonderful experience.

We are thankful to report that Baby Boz #2 is healthy (and thankfully this time, has two kidneys!! Praise God!!) It's something you don't take for granted anymore. Just them saying "this and this is normal" is such a big deal when you've experienced otherwise. We felt such a huge amount of relief.

We got the Dr. to write down the gender on one of the ultrasound photos so we could look together at home with Owen (after vegan doughnuts on the drive home to celebrate!). I'm so glad we did because we were able to capture the sweet moment and share it with our friends and family.

And now I can share it with you!

So there it is, the news is out....

We're so excited to see Owen have a little brother!!!! We started asking him "Where's your brother?" And he comes over to my stomach and kisses it! It's the sweetest!
